In the heart of the lush, green jungle of Duck forest , where the trees touched the clouds and the rivers sang lullabies to the moon, lived a mischievous monkey named Buntu and a kind-hearted elephant named Gajju. Despite their differences in size and temperament, they shared a unique bond that the jungle animals often marvelled at.
Buntu was known for his clever tricks and endless energy. Swinging from branch to branch, he was the undisputed prankster of Duck forest . Gajju, on the other hand, was the gentle giant. His calm behaviour  and strength made him the go-to for help in any jungle crisis. Together, they were a duo that could make even the grumpiest crocodile smile.
One sunny morning, as the dew sparkled on the leaves, Buntu was up to his usual antics. He decided it was the perfect day to play a prank on Gajju. “Gajju,” Buntu called out, balancing on a low branch, “I’ve heard that a mysterious fruit has grown on the tallest tree near the riverbank. It’s said to be the sweetest fruit in the entire jungle!”

Gajju raised his trunk and trumpeted softly. “Sweetest fruit, you say? But how will we get it? The tallest tree is impossible to climb!”
Buntu grinned. “That’s where you come in, my friend. With your height and strength, we can surely reach it.”
Curiosity piqued, Gajju agreed. The duo made their way to the riverbank, with Buntu chattering away about the mysterious fruit. When they arrived, Gajju saw the towering tree, its branches swaying in the breeze. However, there was no sign of any fruit.
“Buntu, are you sure this is the right tree?” Gajju asked, his big eyes scanning the canopy.
“Of course!” Buntu replied, trying to suppress his giggles. “You need to shake the tree gently. The fruit is shy and only falls when coaxed.”
Obliging his friend, Gajju wrapped his trunk around the tree and gave it a good shake. Leaves and twigs rained down, but no fruit appeared. Suddenly, a nest of ants that had been resting peacefully decided to launch a full-scale attack on the intruder.
“Ow! Ow! Buntu, help!” Gajju bellowed, flapping his ears to ward off the tiny attackers.

Buntu, unable to contain his laughter, rolled on the ground. “Oh, Gajju, you should see your face!”
Realizing it was all a prank, Gajju shook his head but couldn’t help chuckling. “Alright, Buntu. You got me. But you owe me a real treat now.”
Feeling a tad guilty, Buntu promised to make it up to Gajju. “How about we have a little adventure? I’ve heard there’s a hidden waterfall deep in the jungle. Let’s find it!”
Gajju’s eyes lit up. He loved exploring the jungle, and the idea of a hidden waterfall was too tempting to resist. The two friends set off, navigating through dense foliage and crossing gurgling streams. Along the way, they encountered a chorus of colourful birds, a curious deer, and even a sunbathing python, who lazily hissed a warning to stay away.
After hours of trekking, they heard the faint sound of rushing water. Encouraged, they quickened their pace. Finally, they arrived at a breath taking sight. The waterfall cascaded down from a towering cliff, forming a crystal-clear pool that shimmered like a sapphire. Surrounding the pool were vibrant flowers and lush greenery.
“Wow, Buntu,” Gajju said, his voice filled with awe. “This is beautiful.”
“See? I do know how to make up for my pranks,” Buntu said, puffing his chest proudly.
The two friends spent the rest of the day splashing in the water, enjoying the cool spray of the waterfall. Buntu showed off his acrobatics by swinging from vines and diving into the pool, while Gajju demonstrated his strength by creating small waves with his trunk.
As the sun began to set, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, Buntu and Gajju sat by the water’s edge, exhausted but happy. “Gajju,” Buntu said, “I may tease you a lot, but you’re the best friend anyone could ask for.”
Gajju smiled, his big ears flapping gently. “And you, Buntu, make life in the jungle so much more exciting.”
From that day on, the hidden waterfall became their secret retreat. Whenever Buntu’s mischief got too much or Gajju needed a break from his duties, they would escape to their special spot, sharing laughter and deepening their bond.
