The Curious Rabbit and the Hidden Garden

Once upon a time, in a lush green forest, there lived a curious little rabbit named Nibbles. Nibbles was known for his endless questions and adventurous spirit. One sunny morning, as he hopped through the forest, he overheard two sparrows talking about a hidden garden full of the sweetest carrots and juiciest vegetables.

Nibbles’ ears perked up. “A hidden garden? I must find it!” he thought excitedly. He approached the sparrows and asked, “Where can I find this magical garden?”

The sparrows chirped, “The garden is protected by a wise old tortoise, and only those who solve his riddle can enter.”

Determined, Nibbles set off to find the tortoise. After hours of hopping through the forest, he finally reached a small pond where the tortoise was basking in the sun.

“Hello, Mr. Tortoise! I’ve heard about the hidden garden. Can I go there?” Nibbles asked eagerly.

The tortoise chuckled. “Patience, little one. To find the garden, you must answer my riddle: I grow bigger when shared, yet smaller when hoarded. What am I?”

Nibbles frowned and thought hard. “A carrot? No, that doesn’t make sense. A pond? Hmm…no.” He sat quietly, pondering the riddle. As the sun began to set, he suddenly exclaimed, “I know! It’s kindness!”

The tortoise smiled warmly. “You’re right, little rabbit. Kindness grows when shared. The garden is not far—just follow the trail of daisies.”

Excited, Nibbles thanked the tortoise and followed the trail. Soon, he reached the most beautiful garden he had ever seen. Carrots, cabbages, and lettuces grew in abundance. But as he was about to dig in, he noticed a family of hungry squirrels nearby.

Remembering the lesson about kindness, Nibbles hopped over and said, “Come, share this garden with me!”

The squirrels joined him, and soon other forest animals came too. Together, they enjoyed the garden, laughing and playing until the moonlight bathed the forest.

From that day on, Nibbles became known not just for his curiosity but also for his kindness. The hidden garden flourished, and so did the friendships that grew there.

Moral: Kindness is a treasure that grows the more you share it.
